Known as Black Eyed Pea dip, or in certain circles, Redneck Caviar (though I’m told that’s slightly different; more veggies), it’s basically canned black eyed peas tossed with chopped tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, cilantro, avocado, and some fat-free catalina dressing. DDS also threw in some chopped celery, which calmed it down a little given that he used two whole jalapenos. Generally served with scoop-style chips of some sort, the better to snarf it down. Twas also yummy with steak.
