So what if he’s a 22-year-old graduate student? He’ll always be my baby. And the other day, he came up with one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time.

From an article about overcoming dyslexia:

I made it through a JD/MBA at Stanford but it was because I have integrated my disability, dyslexia, not because I overcame it. I think of it like my nationality; I am from dyslexia. ADHD is our Canada and dyscalculia is our Mexico.

His comment (paraphrased):

Does that mean that people with dyscalculia are streaming across the border to steal jobs from honest, hard-working dyslexics?

  1. 🙂 Cute. Also, liked the article. I’m sending it to some of my students because the author describes a process of writing and proofing with dyslexia that I try to teach.
