Last night my knee began to hurt.
I said to my dearest, darling spouse, the light of my life, the mate of my soul, he whom I love so dearly above all others,
“My knee hurts.”
His sweet, darling, loving response:
“Mine doesn’t.”
Good thing he’s not a doctor.
Sounds like surgeon material to me.

My DH would never say that to me.
Not because he’s empathetic — he just has crappy knees.
